BioWare has announced today that the downloadable content for Mass Effect 2 will be free of charge. This is cleared numerous rumors that the downloadable content will cost users money. The source of this comes straight from their Twitter account. You can find the status update here. I’m definitely going to make sure I download the DLC since it’s free and so should you. This game is going to make the first edition of the series look like nothing. Millions are going to buy the game, including me.

As some of you may know, Electronic Arts has stated that they’re going to be releasing NBA Jam, and it’s going to be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii. It’s been said that the game’s going to have 3D visual characters, and actual photos of the players on their heads. Not really sure how that’s going to look like since it’s going to have 2D heads and 3D bodies. This game might just be something that you go out and rent when you know you’re going to have a couple of friends over. Controls are compared to the ones of the hit game Punch-Out. No release date has been confirmed but there will be images released later in the year.

Activision’s President and CEO Bobby Kotick has confirmed that there’s going to be a sequel to the game DJ Hero. With almost 800,000 sales, there’s going to be a lot of hype with the new sequel.
Bobby stated this “I think DJ Hero is a really innovative product. I can’t wait for you to see next year’s,” he said. “That’s the thing; we’re sticking with it. We’ll stick with it and get it right.”
Now, I’m not really sure what to expect with this one. I stopped played Guitar Hero because there were too many games being released when they could have just let the songs become downloadable for a certain price. What’s next? DJ Flute? Bad joke. Activision will definitely need to release a better, more innovative game. Especially since they’re making over a billion dollars with their hit Call of Duty series. Be on the lookout next year for some new updates about this. I’ll be tracking this story!

It has been confirmed that the video game, Risen, will be coming to the Xbox 360. From the images that I’ve seen, this game will definitely be one that plenty of gamers should consider. I’ve found a couple of images, and they look simply AMAZING. While I’m not into medieval video games, I’m sure that thousands of people will be picking this game up and definitely playing it. Risen has been compared to games like Mass Effect 2. Also, there’s supposed to be over 60 hours of game play within this game. Definitely something a lot of you should consider picking up!

Recent rumors have said that the new Call of Duty will be in the Vietnam era. Not really sure what to think of this one. If the rumors are true, that’ll definitely be a game that I might consider. I’ve played the World War 2 games, Modern Warfare, but I’d love to test out a Call of Duty set in Vietnam. I can just see now what’ll happen. Maps will be FILLED with campers considering almost all of Vietnam is covered with forests and grassy land. More will be released soon, but remember, this is JUST a rumor.

Activision Blizzard has just recently let everyone know that Modern Warfare 2 has reached $1 billion dollars in sales. This might not be much of a surprise to some people considering the fact that millions have been playing Modern Warfare 2 since it’s release back in November.
Robert Kotick has stated that “Call of Duty:Modern Warfare 2 has exceeded our expectations and shattered theatrical box office and video game records. There are only a handful of entertainment properties that have ever reached the $1 billion mark, which illustrates the power of the Call of Duty franchise and mass appeal of this game.”
There’s just one thing to show from this, there’s DEFINITELY going to be another Call of Duty game being released next year.
